The night's dawn trilogy is astounding! The story initially seems rediculous with spaceships pulling 50g, or something similar, but when you get beyond the superficial idea, the depth of the characters, the ideas, worlds, storyline and brillaint prose make this my favourite book to date. I've read a lot!
