Some rules we have agreed on:
    • One book nomination per person.
    • One book per author. Whoever nominates the author & book first wins. Therefore, if someone else nominates another book by the same author after the first person, it won't count.
    • Only science fiction and science fantasy will be counted.
    • A poll will be set up including all the nominations during the last two days of September.

    My nomination:
The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson.

I don't know. If you think it is that's more than I know. I want to read Children of Time.

The Years of Rice and Salt is mind-blowingly good.

Oh, now I see why you asked if it was a sequel. One of the reviewers said it's set in the same universe as 14.

As we only have four nominations and we all know which book Ken would really like to read, there is not much point in a poll.
    Therefore, the October book is:

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky

Great, I'm looking forward to reading this one. Don't think I've heard anything negative from anyone I know who's read this title.
