I'm a bit mystified by the sudden appearance of one "Christopher" - an Armenian disguised as a Turkish coffee vendor in the middle of Quicksliver.

It seems we're meant to know who he is "(for it was none other)" but I can find no reference. Anybody know better?

I have a strange feeling that Stephenson is losing things slightly in this section - Jack is going mad and this seems to reflect the author's own state of mind.

    Hardly surprising of course....

Hi @Martin Joyce, and welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid I have no idea since I haven't read the Baroque trilogy yet. Perhaps @kenubrion has some idea?

Didn't notice this until now. Don't worry about it, there's no need to figure it out.

Is this more from the point of view of Vrej - and is humorous reference to the ubiquity of Armenians who all seem to know each other?
