I've read several decade ago a book from Asimov or Van Voght (don't remember which one)
The subject was about a team traveling in the space for discovery.
There was different people from different science, but for the first time , there was a scientist having learn and assimilated all different specialities, and with the synthesis of all these knowlege, he was the one finding the solutions to different issues.
Can anybody help me to find the title of this book?
    Thanks

No problem. I've read some van Vogt before, but never this one. Actually, van Vogt was some of the earliest SF I ever read with his novel Slan. I think the entire mutant concept must originate from this book (I'm guessing Marvel Comics and Stan Lee probably owe this book a lot). van Vogt writes good adventure stories.

Let me know how you find The Voyage of the Space Beagle when you're done with it.
