Anthony Burgess at 100
Hey spent his whole career trying to get people to stop reading clockwork orange, and read one of his other pieces...he hated it. And thought his later works were far superior, but the mob wants what it wants.
Never read and Burgess at all, and A Clockwork Orange is the one I'm least interested in. Well, ACO is so popular because of the Kubrick adaptation (which was freaking excellent!), but I think he was always well regarded for his other works. At least, that's the impression I've always had.
